February Activities
Topics for this month are:
Chinese New Year
This year is the year of the monkey. We will be doing Chinese themed activities to celebrate the Chinese new year. Theses will include
- Noodle Play
- Making lanterns
- Monkey painting
- Chinese letter writing
- Chinese numbers writing
- Monkey Biscuits
- Dragon painting and sticking
- Chinese new year pictures
- Reading Chinese culture books
- Exploring the Chinese sensory baskets
- Chinese food tasting
We will also be having a party to celebrate the Chinese new year on the 8th. Please encourage your child to wear something Bright!! (Monday 8th Feb)
Valentine’s Day
Wear something red day (Fri 12th Feb)- We are asking you to send your child in something red to celebrate valentines day. We are also asking for a £1 donation for the Children’s heart foundation.
Activities will include:
- Valentine’s day cards
- Valentines Disco
- Red Sticky pictures
- Red water play
- Love heart biscuits
- Love heart chocolate making
- collage flowers
Pancake Day (9th Feb)
Linda cook will be making the children pancakes with a variety of different toppings for the children to taste.
